I went to Sandpoint Beach this morning with Farley. It was my first time ‘glassing’ there. Not much cooked sea glass, but I found my first ‘message in a bottle.’ It was written on the inside of a Jones Soda label. It reads:

We won’t never be as young as we is tonight ~ Buster “Rant” Casey

I looked up Buster “Rant” Casey on Google. He’s the main character in Rant: An Oral Biography of Buster Casey, a 2007 novel by Chuck Palahniuk.

Another way of saying carpe diem? (If you overlook the double negative.)
